Chapman Bauerlein was born and raised in Katy, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Business. While an undergraduate at Texas Tech, Chapman was president and captain of the rugby team. He then studied law at Texas Tech University where he earned a CALI Award in Public International Law and a Jurisprudence Award in European Union Law. Additionally, Chapman made the Dean’s List multiple times. He graduated from law school and was licensed in 2013.
Chapman clerked for the Monsour Law Firm the summer after his second year of law school. Since joining the firm as an associate, Chapman’s focus has been focused on the pharmaceutical and medical device docket. In November 2014, Chapman was part of a trial team of lawyers representing four clients who suffered injures from transvaginal mesh. Each client was awarded an average of 4.6 million dollars in compensatory and punitive damages due to injuries suffered from the defective design of the product. In 2015, Chapman was involved in the global settlement of Actos, a diabetes drug. Currently, Chapman is focusing his efforts on the Risperdal and Xarelto litigations.
In his spare time, Chapman stays close to the sport of rugby by coaching the LeTourneau University rugby team.
